Sterlite Copper, the copper business unit of Vedanta Limited, has announced the appointment of Saty Jyot Kaur as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective April. She will be based at the company’s operations in Silvassa, Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, where Sterlite Copper runs two copper rod plants.
Announcing her new role on LinkedIn, she shared: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at Vedanta Limited – Sterlite Copper Silvassa!”
In her new role, Saty Jyot Kaur will lead the company’s people and culture transformation, talent strategy, and HR operations, playing a pivotal role in strengthening Sterlite Copper’s human capital initiatives.
She joins Sterlite Copper from Hindustan Zinc, where she last worked at the Sindesar Khurd Mine in Udaipur, Rajasthan. An alumna of ISB Hyderabad, Saty began her HR journey as an intern at Tata International and brings a strong track record in human resource leadership within the metals and mining sector.
Sterlite Copper, a key part of Vedanta Limited’s copper business since its inception in 1996, has emerged as a major player in India’s copper industry, contributing up to 36% of the country’s demand for refined copper.
